Shirley Skinner Conservation Area
By North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority

The property was donated to the North Bay - Mattawa Conservation Authority by Ken and Jill Clark in 1994 in memory of Jill's mother Shirley Skinner.

It was the intent of the Clarks that the property remain in public ownership and be utilized for outdoor educational experiences for the residents of Chisholm Township. A steering committee was formed to oversee the development of a Master Plan for the property. The plan has been finalized and is awaiting implementation. The Conservation Area is currently unmarked with no formal trails.

General Directions: Travel south of North Bay on Highway 11 to the Clark Street exit. Follow Clark Street east towards the Town of Powassan. Turn right onto Main Street. Turn left onto Memorial Park Drive. The Conservation Area is 2.7 kilometers from Golf Course Road. A parking lot is not provided.
