Laurier Woods Conservation Area
By North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority

In 2006, the City of North Bay transferred the land informally known as "The Laurier Woods" to the care of the North Bay - Mattawa Conservation Authority and The Friends of Laurier Woods. A unique piece of nature nestled in the heart of North Bay, the Laurier Woods is home to a wide variety of birds and small mammals.

At certain times of the year, visitors to The Laurier Woods Conservation Area may catch a glimpse of a rare pink lady slipper orchid.

Directions: From Highway 11 exit onto Seymour Street. Turn right onto Franklin Street and then left onto Brule Street. The Laurier Woods Conservation Area is at the end of the road on the right.
