Kinsmen Trail along Chippewa Creek
By North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority

In the early 1990s, the North Bay - Mattawa Conservation Authority, the City of North Bay and the North Bay Kinsmen Club envisioned the development of a pedestrian pathway connecting Airport Road to the Kate Pace Way at North Bay's waterfront. Over the past few years, as part of the NBMCA’s erosion control program, the NBMCA has directed the construction of the envisioned parkway from Airport Road to the waterfront.

Today, the Kinsmen Trail is a scenic seven kilometer paved pathway winding through the heart of North Bay alongside the banks of Chippewa Creek. The Trail, interspersed with neighborhood parkettes, provides a safe, healthy and enjoyable alternative for transportation and recreation within the city.
