Sylvan Glen Conservation Area offers a great place to relax. The 4.65 acre (1.9 ha) property, which is located in the Municipality of Port Hope (formerly Hope Township), was acquired on December 3, 1956. You can picnic by the creek or try your luck at fishing. A gauging station is located at this site to help warn of high water levels before they reach Port Hope.

How to get there:

Take Highway 401 east to County Road 2 at Welcome.
Travel north to County Road 10 and turn right.
Travel east 1.6 km and turn north on Sylvan Glen Road.
The conservation area is located on the left side at the Ganaraska River.
