Stretching Before Hiking
Whether it's a day hike or a 3 day hike, always take time to stretch out your muscles before setting off on your journey.
The important muscles you need to stretch are calves, thighs, arms, shoulders and lower back. This can help prevent injury.
On mornings at your campsite, warm your body up by walking around and stretching for about 15-20 minutes. Breaking down your campsite can help stretch out tired muscles. When rolling up your sleeping bag or tent, try kneeling on the ground and slowly arch your back then move your head downward as you straighten your back.
With all stretching, make sure your movements are smooth and avoid any bouncing movements.
